Cheryl is the President and CEO of Synergy Test and Balance. She is a graduate of Athens High School in Troy, Michigan, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kentucky in Mechanical Engineering, as well as a Master’s Degree from the University of Kentucky in Mathematics Education. She is an EIT in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Since 2008, Cheryl’s responsibilities have been business focused, included administering accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll management, tax administration and cost analysis. She is also Corporate Secretary of Facility Commissioning Group, an ACG member firm providing third party, independent Commissioning services to building owners in the Indiana and Kentucky regions.
Jim is president of Facility Commissioning Group in Lexington, Kentucky, a third party independent commissioning provider firm founded in 1998 and solely dedicated to developing and implementing practical HVAC commissioning processes. A graduate of Fort Knox High School, Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kentucky in Mechanical Engineering and holds EIT certificate #8892. He has 17 years of HVAC Test and Balance experience as a certified Test and Balance Engineer (TBE) with the Associated Air Balance Council (AABC) #97-06-35. With 17 years of practical commissioning application experience, Jim is a Director and Past President of AABC Commissioning Group (ACG), co-author of the ACG Commissioning Guideline for Building Owners, Design Professionals, and Commissioning Service Providers, and a charter Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA). Jim is a Director and Past President of the Southeast Region Building Commissioning Association (SERBCA) and is member #20 of the Building Commissioning Association (BCA). Jim was voting member of ASHRAE SPC202 Commissioning Standard Committee, and is a member of the standard maintenance committee for ASHRAE Standard 202 – Commissioning Process for Buildings and Systems. He is certified by USGBC as a LEED Accredited Professional for Green Building Design and Construction (LEED AP BD+C). Jim is a member of ASTM, NFPA, ICC and the Kentucky Society of Healthcare Engineers (KSHE). Other recent industry service includes the ASHRAE Building Performance Alliance (BPA) Commissioning Roadmap, participation on the IAS technical advisory council for accreditation criteria AC476 and as a member of the USDOE-NIBS Better Buildings Commercial Workforce Credentialing Council (CWCC) Job Task Analyses (JTA) task force for commissioning professionals.
Todd is Vice President and CFO of Facility Commissioning Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kentucky in Mechanical Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Kentucky (#20447), Indiana (#PE10001131), Tennessee (#001906392) and Alabama (#27716E); has is a certified Test and Balance Engineer (TBE) #97-06-34 with the Associated Air Balance Council (AABC), a charter ACG certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) #1004-042 and is a USGBC LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP BD+C). Todd is a member of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). He was the lead commissioning authority for the Indianapolis Public Schools – Capital Improvements Program. Todd has performed mitigation commissioning for secondary schools in Kentucky and Indiana. Sample commissioning projects include Indianapolis Public Schools Capital Improvements Program Phase I, II and III; Indiana University Research 3, Neuroscience Research Building, and Ashton Apartment Complex; Purdue University Mechanical Engineering Building Gatewood Wing, Lilly Hall, and Lynn Hall. Todd possesses extensive HVAC experience with K-12 schools, higher education buildings, and laboratory facilities.
TBE, CxT, Commissioning Technician; Associate degree in Applied Science at Paducah Community College, Business Management/Drafting & Design Studies at Murray State University; ACG Certified Commissioning Technician (CxT) #079-711. Glenn has industry experience since 1990. He possesses certification as a Test and Balance Engineer (TBE) from the AABC #13-04-38, has completed OSHA 10-Hour and 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health Courses, has USEC/HAZMAT training (24 hours) and NES/Operator Training for using Scissor and Boom Lifts. Sample commissioning projects include, Fort Campbell – Army Reserve Center, Fort Knox – ECIP Renewable Solar Wall and Daylight project, Fort Campbell – Language Sustainment Training Facility, Murray State University – Hester Residential College Renovation, Springfield Air National Guard Base – Mission Operations Center and Owensboro Davies County – Convention Center.
Graduate of Cincinnati Ohio High School; ACG Certified Commissioning Technician (CxT) #078-711. Jim is an Infrared Training Center – Certified Infrared Thermographer Level II, #52175. Jim has industry experience since 1987. He possesses a carpenter apprenticeship. Sample commissioning projects include Defense Supply Center Columbus – USPFO Warehouse, Western Kentucky University – College of Education & Behavioral Sciences and Kenton County Middle Schools – Turkey Foot Middle School. Jim specializes in commissioning architectural features.

Todd has completed the OSHA 10-Hour Occupational Safety and Health course.
